Say Hello to the "Hello, Yellow" Sale

This is my haul from Bath & Body Works, Semi-Annual, Hello Yellow sale. I love hitting this because one of the two sales falls right around/ after x-mas. This is perfect because I can load up on all my favorites, and new ones, while paying so much less. Also, I can use my x-mas gift money, so I only pay for a tiny bit, if any out of my own pocket.  Most things are usually 50% off, some of the stuff is 75% off while others are set deals: buy 2 get 1 free, buy 3 get 2 free. Now to get to the fun part, the actual haul.
First up is one of my new favorite smells from BBW's, and the sad part is they are discontinuing the smell. Over the summer they came out with the Signature Summer Vanilla line. One of which is Lemon. Now this isn't the normal cleaner smell lemon it's a sweet almost lemon cookie smell. It actually smells exactly like the lemon cake cookies my grand-mother in-law makes. It's delicious! To bad it's going away, that's why I bought so many of them. I got 1 full size spray, 10 travel size sprays, and 2 full size lotions. These were all 50% off.
Next, I got a couple of the holiday collection smells. 3 of the Twisted Peppermint, which unexpectedly smells like chocolate mint, conveniently enough this is my favorite ice cream flavor and makes for another delicious scent. I also got a Midnight Pomegranate. This is a a sweet pomegranate smell, pretty simple actually but yummy. These ones were 75% off.
I then got a few of the classic line body washes. Pearberry, Pink Grapefruit and County Apple. They all smell like their name. I was surprised by the Pearberry actually, I usually hate pear scented things, to me they always smell like beer, and it's not pleasant. This one though has a sweet berry smell along with a slight pear scent, not to bad really. These ones we are $3 a piece.

Lastly for me, I got some of the Victoria's Secret's Pink line. I got 3 do to the Buy 3 for $30 sale. There was also a buy 2 for $22, neither of them were bad sales considering that these ones are normally $15 a piece. 2 of the Sweet & Flirty which smell like an original Paris Hilton's "Paris" dupe. I also got 1 of the Soft & Dreamy, which has a nice light & sweet vanilla musk smell.
The last things I got were actually for my husband. They are most of the scents from the new-ish Men's Signature Line. We both think that they smell like dupes of other scents, but we both love them. His, and I think my, favorite is Noir. This one smells similar to Cool Water, which is our favorite cologne. Then there's Citron, which smells like a dupe for Kenneth Cole's Reaction. Our 2nd favorite cologne.
We also got Twilight Woods, this one is an earthier one and reminds me more of Kenneth Cole's Black. Finally there is Ocean, pretty sure this is a dupe of Axe's Pheonix scent. All of the full sizes were a buy 3 get 2 free deal and the travel sizes, which I bought first for him to smell, were 75% off.
All of this at normal prices would have been close to $300, and the reason I love this sale is that I got all of this for just over $100. Thinking I should start a summer sale fund to stock up on b-day and x-mas gifts for my sisters and other family.

Update for updates

Sorry for the lack of posting the winter semester started up and I am still trying to figure out how to work my schedule and not go insane. Plus, I also just recently moved my sister out and into her first "big girl" apartment, her dorm didn't really count before. So I have been helping her as much as possible to get on her feet and figure stuff out.
Okay, so enough excuses. I will be aiming for posting at least once a week. I have a few ideas in mind: there will be  review/ hauls for both E.L.F. makeup and Bath & Body Works. I also have beauty tips and tricks for both men and women coming up. Haven't decided how I will order those (side-note, I have to wait for the rest of my BBW's order to come in) so we will just have to wait and see.
So be on the look out for more regular updates from me, and I'll see if I can get myself into a more regular schedule.

Top 10 Things I Hate That Professors Do

Ok, so this is for all the people out there in college. Some of these things are dealt with in high school, but not as commonly. For all of you that have not experienced college yet: DO NOT let this scare you off, not every professor is like this. Even the coolest ones have their little quirks that make you want to strangle them. For those of you that are in college, or have already graduated, you will probably be able to assign at least one old prof. to each of these traits.

10. The Deadline Hypocrite
Professors who adhere to strong deadline rules for the students but never meet the deadlines they tell their students. Please at least give us the decency of handing back our first exam/quiz or paper before the next one is due.

9. The Field Mouse
Professors who have the tiniest voice or a horrible mumbling problem and do not use the mic offered in most large auditorium style classrooms. As a result, 100+ students have to strain to hear or understand them even while sitting right in front.

8. Senor Chicken-scratch
Professors who have horrible handwriting and feel the need to hand write all of their notes, either on the board, over-head projector, or computer. If you won't spend 10 minutes trying to figure out what I wrote on my exam, then please don't expect me to do the same.

7. Professor No-Show
Professors that cancel class 5 or 10 minutes before it starts and just have someone else put the "Class Canceled Today" sign on the door. Or, even better, the professors that actually do nothing- that is, don't show up, don't send an email, and an hour after leaving class frustrated and annoyed, you check your email and lo, professor punctual ended up sending you an email half an hour after class started. Thank you for making me drive out in the same crappy weather that made you stay at home, for nothing.

6. The Over-Under Achiever
Professors who have the ability to even over-schedule themselves. Please, don't assign more work than you can cover in class. It wastes both you and your students' time. If you can't stick to your syllabus, don't expect your students to be able to either.

5. The Social Butterfly
Professors that either do not know or care that not everyone likes public speaking and think that you should have no problem doing presentations or the ever-so-fun copout project where each student will teach that class for a little bit.

4. The Martyr
Professors that complain about all the work they have to grade. I have a brilliant solution: Don't assign all that work. Don't make me do a crap load of work and then complain about having to grade it.

3. Mr/Miss Universe
The lovely professors who act as if their class is the only thing that exists in your universe. You don't have 3 or 4 other classes, kids, a job, or even the daily need to eat and sleep. Nope, you should have no problem reading 200-300 pages or doing some insanely hard lab or problem set in one day (or two if you're lucky).

2. Professor Assumption
Professors who assume that you already know all of the info being covered in their course, and are surprised when no one can answer their question. Please do not expect me to know that you haven't even talked about, that is why I'm taking your class.

1. The Zealot
Professors who extremely exaggerate the importance of their class. I know this is your life's work and all, but to me it's nothing but a hurdle to graduation that I didn't want to have to jump over in the first place, and it's not just me. Turns out, there are a couple thousand other students who think this. I will not deny that many a college student has actually found their true calling by taking filler classes like yours- I actually changed my major after taking a class, but this is probably at least a 1 in 50 shot. It also helped that I was really interested in said major anyways. I hereby propose a new mantra every professor should adopt: "Not everyone will like my class. I am okay with this."

New Year = New Blog

I made a resolution this year to stop just reading and watching other peoples blogs or vlogs and finally do one of my own. Well here it is.....now what.

Okay so as my first post I guess I should give my readers an idea of what this is going to be like. I plan on doing a few different things, as I like to do many different things.
1. I will talk about makeup and hair. Product reviews, tips, tricks and how to's.
2. I will talk about crafting and post about things I have done with (same as #1) tips, tricks and how to's.
3. I will talk about Geology and the Environment, as much as you all seem to like it. Nothing insane, no lectures or anything, just about things that are going on at the time and so on.
Of course I reserve the right to talk about random things as well.

So let me know what things interest you or you have questions about and if I can't answer it out of my knowledge then I promise I will try my hardest to find the answer for you, or at least steer you to someone who can help.
