E.L.F. Makeup

This will be a haul and a review for E.L.F. cosmetics. I was recently turned onto this makeup and instantly had to try it out. As a student I don't have a ton of money to spend on makeup, nor do I really care about having the really expensive stuff. Nothing against the people who have the money for it, I just don't. One of the biggest draws for E.L.F. is that it is cheap. This is usually a turn-off because most people think Cheap = Crappy. This is not always the case. Some are amazing and some are a little bit of a let down. I tried to add in good swatches of color, hopefully they help.
First up is the Shine Eraser. These are oil blotting sheets and the reason I got them is that anywhere else these things are $3 or more for 50 sheets, through E.L.F. there only $1 for 50. They work just as good as the others I have tried and they also have green tea in them to help relieve redness. I am very pleased with these guys.
I got two of their brushes. A Kabuki brush and a Foundation brush. This was half because I wanted these and half because I got some mineral foundation and concealer, which I have really been wanting to try out. I am quite pleased with all of them, the foundation and concealer are both Light and match my skin perfectly. The new brushes make application easy and are super soft.

Next up I got a few of their liquid Eyeliners. I love these! The go on easily, are beautifully pigmented, and once dry don't smudge. I got Silver, Black and Ash, and at $1 a piece it's an awesome deal.
I bought a few of their eye shadows as well. I got 3 of their liquid eyeshadow, because I love the ones I have from Avon. They are just so easy when you don't really feel like doing much and just want a quick application of color. These go on very strong and you have to blend them a bit before they dry, but once they dry they stay very well without budging. I got Sexy Silver (Now Posh Pewter), Sultry Satin and Cream Dream.
Two of their Eye Brightener Quads. Nouveau Neutrals and Drama. The neutrals set have 4 beautiful everyday colors. Two all over the lid ones, the light blue and the tan, and 2 nice crease colors, the khaki green and the brown. I have been wearing these ones a lot lately. The Drama collection is a nice set for a sexy smokey eye. A matte white, shimmery silver, gunmetal gray and black.

I also got 2 of their Duo Eye-shadows, Olive and Mocha Swirl. Olive has a kind of coppery/ green-ish color brown and a beautiful olive color green. Mocha Swirl is a basic brown with a very light pinky-tan color. Both good for everyday applications.
Finally for eye color I got two of the mineral eye shadows. Seductive: a nice basic matte black color. And Earthy: a beautiful shimmery green.
I also got 4 of the Facial Shimmer Whips, these claim to be able to be used as an eyeshadow, a lip gloss and a cream blush. I don't hugely like them for the eyes because they seem to wear off relatively quick. I haven't really tried them for the lips, though they seem like lip gloss consistency. I like to use them as a blush, they leave a nice dewy look with a slight pop of color that works really nice for the winter months. Another nice thing, well I think so, is that they have a nice citrus-y smell to them. I got in order: Citrus, Lilac Petal, Toasted and Pink Lemonade.

Finally, I got as a free gift with my order, their Mini Makeup Collection. It comes with 9 eye shadows, 1 cream eyeshadow, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, 1 eyebrow powder, 10 lip colors, an eye liner pencil, a lip brush, face brush and a foam eye shadow applicator. This I think is a nice set for either someone who is just getting started with their makeup collection and doesn't really know what they like or necessarily looks good on them. It has a nice range in color combinations, from sexy smokey night out looks to beautiful basic day looks. So perfect gifts for pre-teens to teens or for a makeup lover to try out the E.L.F. line. It's also a nice thing for traveling. You have almost everything you need in one little case, all you need extra is your mascara, foundation and maybe a few other brushes, and voila! You ready for a trip.

I would say that E.L.F. is a pretty good deal, you seem to get good quality for cheap prices. Only a few of these were a bit of a let down. Be forewarned that some of the pictures on their site are a bit off of the real color, though. Some are lighter, some darker. I read and would suggest for you all to read the customer reviews for a heads up on color differences. Definitely, will be making future purchases through them.
